iOS 5 and iCloud Available on Wednesday, October 12th
Apples latest operating system and sync solution will be available to consumers on October 12th. The new operating system offers some great new features, including:
Notification Center- All your alerts in one simple list
iMessage – Send text, photos, videos, locations, and contacts via Wi-Fi or 3G
Newsstand – A place to organize or shop for magazine and newspaper subscriptions.
Reminders – The iPhone, iPad and iPod touch get a native to-do app that sync’s using iCloud.
Twitter – Tweet from Safari, Photos, Camera, YouTube, or Maps.
Camera Features – Grid lines, pinch-to-zoom gestures, volume-up photo button, and iCloud support.
Photos Features – Rotate, crop, red-eye removal, rotate all from your device.
Safari Features – Reading list and tab browsing!
PC Free – Setup your new device without the need of a PC.
Mail Features – Basic rich text editing to your emails.
Calendar Features – New year view on iPad and week view on iPhone
Wi-Fi Sync – Sync your device over a shared Wi-Fi connection automatically. Plug your device into a power source and your automatic sync begins.

Great blog! Thanks for the information regarding the new iphone. I’ve considered upgrading from my 3GS, mostly because of the camera upgrades. Do you know if the new one has built in HDR, like the older 4D?

Yes, the new iPhone 4s does support HDR. For those not familiar with HDR (high dynamic range), this feature enhances the photos you take by actually taking three photos at different exposure levels. It then selects the best parts of those three images creating one great looking photo.
